Welcome to the Eat Local NOLA!

Eat Local NOLA started as a 30-day celebration during the month of June. Today, we encourage supporters to explore New Orleans’ food and agricultural heritage year-round. by purchasing from local farmers, fishers, food makers, restaurants, breweries, spirits handlers and food advocates. We encourage participants to support the local food system; by eating in restaurants, visiting your local farmers market, shopping at locally owned grocery stores, and recognizing the hard work and history of the people who made and continue to make New Orleans the best place to eat. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on events, classes, tours, and a host of other opportunities to celebrate all the bounty of New Orleans!

Are you ready to make your mark on local food?

Eat Local Challenge Commitment to Equity

We ask that our participants join us in our commitment to cultural equity.

Cultural equity embodies the values, policies, and practices that ensure that all people—including but not limited to those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, citizenship status, or religion—are represented in the development of Eat Local NOLA; the support of food system workers; the nurturing of accessible, thriving businesses for expression; and the fair distribution of programmatic, financial, and informational resources.
